Alexander Granström is a Sweden-based sound designer and visual creative, making his directorial and screenwriting debut with Stygian—a psychological horror film grounded in Nordic folklore, isolation, and quiet dread.

Driven by a life-long love for horror, Granström set out to create Stygian from a desire to see more genre films that prioritize atmosphere and emotional weight over jump scares and convention. With a background in sound and visual storytelling, he brings an immersive, hands-on approach to filmmaking—currently managing everything from writing and directing to cinematography, sound design, and scoring.
