We’re proud to announce that Swedish SFX makeup artist Elisabeth is joining Stygian as our lead special effects artist.

With a background that spans both fashion and film, Elisabeth brings a rare blend of artistic precision and horror-minded creativity to the table. After graduating from the International Makeup Center in Sweden, she honed her skills further at Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles , one of the most prestigious makeup schools in the world.

Since then, she has worked internationally on film sets, photo shoots, and theatrical productions, taking on roles ranging from assistant makeup artist to head of department.

Her passion lies in Special Effects Makeup: bloodwork, creature textures, and building practical effects from scratch. In 2017, she transitioned into SFX full-time, studying under artists in both Sweden and the U.S, and has since dedicated herself to the eerie, the grotesque, and the unforgettable.

We’re incredibly excited to bring Elisabeth’s expertise into the world of Stygian : where every shadow, silhouette and uncanny detail will be heightened through her vision. This collaboration is a crucial step in making Stygian as haunting and immersive as possible.
