Team Update: Gustav Lindberg joins as Assistant Writer

We're thrilled to welcome Gustav Lindberg to the STYGIAN team in the role of Assistant Writer. Based in Nyköping, Sweden, Gustav is a writer, former short filmmaker, and prose author born in 1998. Over the past two years, he has studied literary composition at Stockholm’s Academy of Arts & Culture, with a focus on narrative structure, tone, and character work.

Gustav brings a strong technical foundation in dramaturgy, a natural talent for building suspense and mystery, and a deep commitment to psychological realism. As Assistant Writer, he’ll be working closely with Alexander to ensure the script maintains high quality, internal logic, and thematic consistency. He also happens to have a soft spot for science fiction and horror - making him a perfect fit for this project.

Crew Change: Jordan Hazel steps away

Our original Boom Operator Jordan Hazel will no longer be part of the production, as he has decided to fully pursue his work as a photographer. We wish him the best on his creative journey - and are actively searching for a suitable replacement.

Production Timeline Update

To better align with the film’s aesthetic vision, and give the script the time it deserves we’ve officially moved principal photography to Autumn 2026. The shift allows us to take full advantage of Sweden’s atmospheric fall season, build a stronger community around the film, and maximize the impact of our upcoming crowdfunding campaign.

Here’s our revised timeline:

• Q4 2025 - Screenplay completed

• Q1 2026 - Begin search for producer

• Q2 2026 - Crowdfunding campaign launches

• Q3–Q4 2026 - Filming begins (approx. 15 days of shooting)
